PPI Mechanical Testing operates a multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art testing facility in Waller, Texas. It offers testing of oilfield casing and tubulars, drilling equipment, and new tools.The facility features 1.5-million-lbf, 3-million-lbf, and 5-million lbf test frames. Casing and tubular connections can be qualified at up to 45,000 psi and 750 degF, as can drilling equipment such as tool joints, slips, and elevators.
In addition, PPI Mechanical Testing Services provides environment-specific material qualification of metallurgies and elastomers.
The PPI MTS test facility offers computer-controlled testing and monitoring using custom software that both controls choreographed testing and monitors all aspects of testing conditions. Features include:
